What Parents Ask Before The First Session

In short

Sessions are 50 minutes, one on one, $70, on weekdays at 3:30, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 PM at the Wellington Branch Library or on Zoom. Yani is a certified 6 to 12 math teacher who tutors elementary math through college algebra in English or Spanish. Book at least 24 hours ahead.

What grades and subjects do you tutor?

Elementary math through college algebra: number sense and homework help for younger students, pre-algebra and middle school math, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Precalculus, College Algebra and advanced topics. Algebra 1 and Geometry sessions include the Florida end-of-course exams as part of the course.

Are you a certified teacher?

Yes. I hold a Mathematics Education certification for grades 6 to 12 and I currently teach high school Algebra, so sessions match what is actually on your child's tests.

Do you tutor in person or online?

Both. In-person sessions are at the Wellington Branch Library, 1951 Royal Fern Dr, Wellington, a short drive for families across central Palm Beach County. Online sessions run on Zoom with a digital whiteboard and shared notes. Many families mix the two.

When are sessions available?

Weekdays at 3:30, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 PM, since I teach during the school day. Every session is 50 minutes with ten minutes between, and sessions are booked at least 24 hours ahead.

How long is a session, and how much does it cost?

Every session is 50 minutes, one on one. A single session is $70. The Weekly Package is $240 a month for four sessions on a standing weekday, and two sessions a week is $480 a month. New students can book a first session for $60 through December 31, 2026.

What is the cancellation policy?

Reschedule from the link in your confirmation email up to 4 hours before the session. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead; a cancellation inside 24 hours or a no-show is charged the full session fee. If Yani has to cancel, you are not charged. Sessions start and end on time, so a late arrival is not extended.

Do you offer sessions in Spanish?

Yes. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and I am happy to work with your child and talk with you in whichever language your family is comfortable in.

How fast will you get back to me?

Send the form or a text and I will text or call you back within a few hours, not days.

What happens in the first session?

I look at your child's current class, recent work and the next test, find where the gaps start, and we begin working there. You get a plain summary afterward of what we covered and what comes next.

Can we do a trial before committing to a package?

Yes. Start with a single session or the Midterm Special. If it is a fit, move to the Weekly Package whenever you like. There is no contract.

What should my child bring?

Their class notes, the current assignment or study guide, a calculator if the class uses one, and any graded tests. The more I can see of the real class, the faster we get results.

How do I book?

Pick a time on the booking page and pay once; the confirmation, the reminders and the reschedule link arrive by email. Prefer to talk first? Book a free 15-minute call or text (561) 931-1660.
